POV Shipping

Four pathways to ship your personally owned vehicle

Sponsored shipping capacity and a financial grant are different benefit mechanisms. Here's how each works so you can choose the right one.

1. Sponsored CONUS Shipping

When sponsor capacity is available, TFT arranges free CONUS transport of your POV through our partner network. This is donated transportation capacity — not a cash grant.

Who it's for: Eligible CONUS movers when a sponsor has available capacity.

2. Discounted CONUS Shipping

Steeply discounted carrier rates for shipping your POV, coordinated through TFT partner carriers. You pay a reduced rate directly to the carrier.

Who it's for: Any eligible CONUS mover who needs a lower-cost shipping option.

3. OCONUS Shipping

Options for shipping a POV to or from an OCONUS location, including sponsor pathways and discounted carrier coordination where available.

Who it's for: Movers with an OCONUS leg in their relocation.

4. Financial Assistance for POV Shipping

Grant funding toward the out-of-pocket gap between your actual shipping cost and what the government reimburses. This is a cash grant — a different benefit mechanism from sponsored shipping capacity.

Who it's for: Movers whose shipping cost exceeds government reimbursement.

Sponsored shipping vs. a financial grant: sponsored shipping is donated transportation capacity arranged on your behalf. A financial grant is cash funding toward your out-of-pocket cost. You may be routed to one or both depending on your situation and availability.
